SALEM  KIDS

At Salem UMC, we strive to create a loving and welcoming environment for children of all ages to grow in the love of God and each other. Children are always welcome in our worship services and invited to participate. We believe children are not the future of the church....They are the Church!  You’re never too old or too young to serve in God’s Kingdom.

GET  INVOLVED

SALEM KIDS offers opportunities for children ages 2 through Elementary School.  Movie nights, service days, Children’s choir, Sunday School, and Summer Fun are just a few of our many activities for children to play, grow, and experience God’s great love.  Other major events during the year include The Journey to the Manger, Trunk or Treat, and VBS!  All children and youth also have a prayer partner within our congregation who encourages and prays for them throughout the year.

ReSOURCES & TIPS

Children are a vital part of our Christian faith and, consequently, of Christian worship. Children help us understand our faith better, and help model Christ for us in a way we might not have otherwise imagined. Children giggle, poke, and swing their legs simply because they are children. But they also can sing, pray, and give with the congregation. So how do we intentionally find ways to make space for all God’s children? Perhaps the best advice for parents or members alike is straight from Jesus – Allow them to come.
